Murder Takes Time (Friendship and Honor book 1) by Giacomo Giammatteo is a murder mystery story. Sometimes, to understand the ending, you have to go back to the beginning. We had it all – love, honor and friendship. Three boys, one girl, and an oath. So when did it all turn sour? A betrayal that leads to murder. We had just one rule. If we made an oath, we kept it. Sometimes it is so easy to take an oath, but keeping it is a darn sight harder. Now I stand here, looking at my best friend. He lies there dead, bleeding from the bullet I put into him. But why? What happened? Where did things go so badly wrong? We ruled when we were teenagers so how did I end up holding the gun that killed my best friend? Follow the stories of three best friends as they wend their way through life and come full circle.
Murder Takes Time (Friendship and Honor book 1) by Giacomo Giammatteo is one of those “wow” factor books. This is more than just a murder mystery; it is a love story and a thriller as well. It is a story of life and love, of friendship, betrayal and anger. Right from page one, this is a book that reels you in, dumping you firmly into the thick of things. This is not an easy read by any means; not a book that you can whip through and still understand what happened. This is complex, deep and intriguing. It requires concentration, but no reader will ever regret the time it takes to read a novel of this magnitude. I was hooked from the very first page, drawn into the story and unable to let go of it. The unusual way in which the story is told is what grabs your attention first. Add to this the strong storyline, a plot that is forever deepening yet becoming clearer with each page, and excellent character development and this story is worthy of anyone’s time, no matter whether it is a genre that attracts you or not. It is packed with action, packed with twists and turns, and it is a book that you will never forget.
