In My Pain Is My Wife, Mohan Kumar Thadi tells the story of his pain and how it permanently altered the course of his life. Mohan was a bright young engineering student in 2003. He had many dreams that he wanted to achieve. But a tragic motorcycle accident on the road tore his arm apart and changed everything. He suffered a severe head injury; his collarbone shattered and pierced his lungs, and he was in a coma for six months. Afterward, he spent two and a half years confined to bed. For twenty years, chronic pain in his right arm has been Mohan's constant companion. Over the years, it dismantled his pride, took away his vanity, and broke his illusion of control. But it also made him an honest, spiritual man who learned to acknowledge his pain.
My Pain Is My Wife is truly an inspiring story. Mohan Kumar Thadi refused to give up and turned his life around while learning to navigate his pain. It's nothing short of a miracle. My Pain Is My Wife, to me, is a must-read for anyone who has ever had to go through chronic pain. As someone who went through it after a lower back injury, I couldn't help but empathize with Mohan and find his experiences relatable to a degree. I also find it really admirable that the author provides an unflinching account of his life. I do not doubt that his resilience and courage will help others in similar situations on their own healing journeys. It's a motivational memoir that I highly recommend to all readers.
