Graves shares her personal story as a cancer survivor and discusses food, the vitamins provided, and how those vitamins help people with cancer. She further explains the aid of certain diets, outlining the benefits and drawbacks of each. She includes supplements, alternatives to harmful cleaners, mindful meditation, yoga, regular exercise, and the importance of a good sleep regimen.
Jennifer L Graves has written an informative and comprehensive book about ways to manage your body when you have cancer, but she also includes preventative information. The number of toxic chemicals humans put into their bodies willingly and/or unknowingly is astounding, and Graves lists the contaminants and their link to certain cancers. She points out harmful chemicals and the ways they could be damaging our bodies and the dangers of radiofrequency radiation. Graves helps navigate the need for supplements, including the dangers of taking too much or too many, providing the suggested doses, and discussing the benefits of ingesting specific kinds of mushrooms.
