Luminescent Tentacles & Oaths captured my attention from the start with its engaging plot and richly developed characters. Stella’s journey from a passive noblewoman to a rebellious force of nature was both exciting and empowering. The balance between action and introspection was well-paced, with some standout moments like the explosive scene at the engagement ball that truly shows Stella’s courage. Hiroto’s growth from a soldier weary of war to a steadfast ally added emotional depth to the story. The themes of identity, power, and the corrupting effects of war were woven throughout the narrative in a thought-provoking way. Britt Nunes does a great job of making the stakes feel personal, and the characters' struggles really resonate. The world-building is immersive, painting a vivid picture of a society defined by conflict. The overall flow and intensity of the story kept me hooked. This is a promising start to a series with tons of potential.
