Never Lost is the third novel in the Chastity Series by Holly Brandon. The story of Chase continues as she faces yet another impossible scenario. When tragedy strikes Chase Morgan and her family, they all pack their bags and land in New Orleans right in the middle of Mardi Gras. They were supposed to have fun, but things took a strange turn when a fortune teller on Bourbon Street got Chase’s attention. The fortune teller told Chase this wasn’t the first time she was in New Orleans and revealed a past she wasn’t aware of. Although Chase didn’t believe the fortune teller at first, things changed when she started to have dreams of herself doing things she didn’t remember. To make matters worse, a ghost constantly wanted Chase’s help. There were clues everywhere, and her little friend Daphne was ready to help her solve this mystery. What will Chase do? Will she run back or face the mystery head-on?

Entertaining, fantastic, and incredibly well-written, Never Lost was a satisfying read. I haven’t read the previous novels in the series, but I had no issues with falling in love with the characters the moment they were introduced. While Chase was the protagonist of the story, I loved Daphne first. She was a firecracker. She had spunk and a naturally sarcastic way of speaking that made me laugh out loud multiple times. She was more than just a sidekick to Chase. Chase was more complex. She wasn’t your quintessential protagonist. She faced trouble head-on! I loved the scene when the ghost first spoke to Chase. I was laughing out loud. Author Holly Brandon’s narrative style was remarkable. I was in the moment at all times. I loved the descriptions and the cohesiveness of the story. It wasn’t all over the place, and the mystery of Chase’s past was handled exceptionally well. The dialogues were fantastic and full of charisma. The ending was wholesome without being clichéd, and I loved that. I highly recommend this series because I will also be reading this series from the start.

Never Lost is a work of fiction in the comedy, slice of life, and interpersonal drama subgenres, and it forms the third novel of the Chastity Series. The work is best suited to the general adult reading audience and was penned by author Holly Brandon. Chastity Ann "Chase" Morgan's life takes an unexpected turn when a stranger interrupts her first dance at her grandmother's anniversary party, and an earthquake disrupts the celebration. These incidents are just the beginning of a series of strange occurrences unveiling long-held family secrets. As tragedy strikes, Chase and her family embark on a remarkable journey to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. With the assistance of her ten-year-old psychic neighbor, Chase delves into a complex web of clues that leads her to the ultimate mystery.

Author Holly Brandon has crafted a deeply engaging character-led novel where the storytelling keeps you on the edge of your seat as Chase's journey of self-discovery unfolds. Offering us a unique insight into a character arriving at her biggest personal challenges yet, it makes for a riveting conclusion to The Chastity Series that explores themes of love, determination, and the resilience to move forward. One of the features that really impressed me was the dedication to realism in the crafting of the book’s dialogue and relationship dynamics, offering conversations that feel as though real people are having them with you. This book masterfully weaves romantic ideals with real-life enigmas, leaving readers captivated from beginning to end but also deeply grounded in a poignant story that has real-life lessons to take away and consider. Overall, I would certainly recommend Never Lost to fans of the existing series as a conclusion they won’t want to miss, and the series in general for fans of poignant, witty, and engaging personal dramas.

An earthquake during her grandparents’ anniversary party? On the same day she gets engaged to Paul Maxson, her new fiancé. Chastity Ann, alias Chase, could not tell for sure if this was a bad omen or nothing. Given her bad luck with love in the past, all Chase wanted was for her current relationship to work out. But it did not help that she could not get Asher Fisher, the drop-dead gorgeous mystery man who interrupted a dance with her fiancé, out of her head. Or that she was having weird dreams about him and was strangely drawn to him. Things take a wild turn for Chase as she starts experiencing strange visions involving long-gone family members and Asher, which leave her with more questions than answers. With the help of her ten-year-old psychic neighbor, Daphne, her cousin’s stepbrother, Brent, and a strange journal belonging to her grandmother, Chase finds herself on an adventurous journey of discovering her family’s secrets, as she struggles to keep her love life together and solve the puzzle of her visions and her grandmother’s journal. If you are looking for a compelling character-driven romantic comedy with a supernatural touch, Holly Brandon’s Never Lost is just what you need. Maintaining a line between reality and imagination, Holly effortlessly runs the intriguing plot on a double timeline, giving the storyline a quite complicated yet beautiful flow. The dynamic cast’s emotions were well depicted and this coupled with the comical use of introspection gave them authenticity, allowing me to connect with them. Holly’s knack for making the scenes tremendously dramatic and the accompanying wit left my ribs sore, especially when it came to Brent. Between his complete lack of a sense of boundaries, his apparent obsession with fixing Chase’s love life, and his penchant for dramatically escalating the most mundane situations, it is a wonder he was still of great help to Chase. The reading experience felt like watching a Hollywood romantic comedy. I would love to see this page-turner on the big screen. Although it is the third and last installment in the Chastity series, Never Lost is a stand-alone read. I loved it. I’m on my way to grab copies of the previous installments in this amazing series.
