Author Biography

Chris is author of the award winning Middle Grade novel, Jicky Jack And The Ominous Promise. His goal is to create books that are engaging, adventurous, funny, and inspirational for kids of all ages - even those adults who secretly never grew up. In his youth, Chris was a Cub Scout, a Webelo & a Boy Scout. He walked across the Golden Gate bridge alone at the age of 9. He helped save a homeless man at the age of 10. He flew a plane at the age of 15. Then after graduating into adulthood; he sailed the Pacific Ocean, became a scuba diver and worked as a hamster in more cubicles than he cares to count. He's a graduate of Augsburg College. He's been in three Hollywood movies. He likes cold pizza, chess, re-runs of M*A*S*H, great books, music and fall breezes. He's never found a four-leaf clover or sunken treasure or seen a UFO, yet! Chris lives in Florida with his family, a very dusty replica of "Wilson" the volleyball, a whole lot of books, and a RED SUPERHERO phone...

C.D. Bryan has written an excellent introduction to his Flight Knight series. In his first book, No Aliens Allowed, the three children are introduced. Parker, along with his friends Hanna and Mark, are being chased by bullies when they stumble upon an alien crash site. They receive five boxes that will change their very beings. These boxes are sought by the government, as well as by alien forces, and the children will need to protect them as well as each other. Throughout the story that follows, adventure is quick, surprises abound, and the future will never look the same. Join Parker, Hanna, and Mark as they embark on the first adventure as Flight Knights. And remember, no aliens allowed.

This is an excellent beginning to the Flight Knight series. It is fast paced and there is absolutely never a dull moment. The entire book takes place in the space between the end of school and sunset. There is less violence than I expected for a book about children fighting aliens, but that does not take away from the story in the least. If you enjoy fast paced sci-fi action, this is the book for you. It will take you on a journey that will excite and energize you. C.D. Bryan is an excellent author. No Aliens Allowed is an excellent sci-fi book and most preteens would love it (boys especially).

Thank you Mr. Priest for a GLOWING 5 STAR REVIEW!

It’s wonderful to hear your observation that there is absolutely never a dull moment in “NO ALIENS ALLOWED” and that it's fast paced sci-fi action is exciting and energizing.

And thank you for your compliments on my authorship. I love writing books for kids/preteens. My goal is to create books that not only speak to kids but entertain them and take them to a new place with new characters and new circumstances. Your words are extremely encouraging to me that I have achieved my goal.
