Oliver’s Garden is a children's book by Evelyn A Fisher. At the edge of a redwood forest, there is a large house with a beautiful garden. And here comes Oliver, a cute white dog who lives in that house. Oliver is always happy to go into the garden to play. He has fun watching the chickens, running around the trees, chasing the butterflies, napping under a tree when tired, and enjoying an abundance of tasty snacks to eat. And every season there are different tasty snacks. During winter, the garden rests so that it can bring Oliver new treats come spring. The snacks come in different colors, sizes, and tastes. But what are Oliver’s favorite garden snacks in each season?
Evelyn A Fisher’s Oliver’s Garden offers high-quality storytelling. The illustrations by Declan T Fisher perfectly depict the lovely, mischievous character of Oliver and the snacks he enjoys in the garden. I also liked how the story and the illustrations convey love for Oliver and an appreciation of nature and its gifts. The language is easy for young readers to comprehend. In addition, the illustrations are entertaining, and children can learn from them how a variety of plants, trees, berries, and fruit grow and look. It is a very useful, fun, and instructional book. I highly recommend it for pre-school and primary school children, parents, educators, and child carers. But beware: every child who reads this book will want their own Oliver and the garden!
