Demonic entities are possessing men, women, and children, but a select group of priests is courageously working together to defeat the monstrous devils in the electrifying supernatural short story, OMFG! (The Father Jack Chronicles) by D. J. Doyle. Father Jack's sister, Katherine, is in a mental institution as a consequence of possession by an evil entity. Affected by Katherine's traumatic and tragic experience, Father Jack decides he wants to combat the evil spirits seeking to take others' lives. Determined to dispatch the demonic entities back to their realms, Father Jack tries contacting the Cardinal of Ireland. When his efforts to reach the Cardinal fail, Father Jack goes the extra mile. He corners and confronts the Cardinal in a public bathroom, insisting he is allowed to join the "other realm" team. A week later, Father Sean contacts Father Jack, telling him he is now the newest member of their select group. Shortly after Father Jack's first exorcism, Father Sean retires, leaving Father Jack in charge of the team. Although slightly disgruntled, the other members work with him to rescue victims of the evil infiltrating from other realms. However, something unlike anything they have ever seen is on its way, and all of them confront a burgeoning and dangerous gateway. Can they stop it? Will they survive?

OMFG! (The Father Jack Chronicles) by D. J. Doyle is an entertaining narrative that is shockingly irreverent. Laced with humor, Doyle's strong voice captivated me from the first sentence and held me transfixed to the last word. Set in Ireland, the Irish-Gaelic names could trip the reader up. Therefore I appreciated Doyle's including a pronunciation guide at the beginning. Although the story ends at a dramatic moment, it leaves a neat opening for the next thrilling episode. This short story is better suited for adults, as it contains mature language.
