Becoming a good leader is an art, and you have to practice to achieve your goal. If more specifically, you want to become a people leader, you need to know a few essential elements. Learning how to learn, finding out if you have a growth mindset or not, knowing what it really means to listen, and understanding your duties are just some of the requirements a good people leader must have. If you do not know where to start to delve into this fascinating and complex subject, the best companion you can have is Anna Marshall's On Your Marks, Get Set... LEAD! After reading this book, the art of being a good people leader will be easily understood.
On Your Marks, Get Set... LEAD! is a book that opened my eyes to what it means to be a good people leader, and I believe that all those who want to become one will have to read it (and reread it). Anna Marshall offers aspiring leaders great advice and helps them ask themselves the right questions to improve. The way she explains things reveals that she has a deep understanding of the subject. Many concepts are enlightening. The part I liked the most is about listening and how a leader should listen; I think this is the best chapter in the whole book. I recommend On Your Marks, Get Set... LEAD! to all those who aspire to become great people leaders. Books like these make people become who they want to be.
