After twelve years, Titus returns, and Jessica isn’t so sure of her engagement with Drew, as her love for Titus is kindled once again. However, Titus is on a mission to retrieve a device from a thief. Jessica joins Titus on this quest to spend more time with him. As the series of events unfolds, Jessica finds herself in a dilemma after she finds out the truth about Titus, and she is presented with an offer.

I was impressed by Goss’s attention to detail while writing. The characters were well developed, with each character having enough background information to stay relevant in the story. This allowed me to connect with the various characters' emotions and personalities. The flow of the story was wonderful concerning how events unfolded alongside the suspense. The pace of the story was so natural that I couldn’t put this book down from start to finish. The organization of the book and the writing style were simple and clear, which made me breeze through effortlessly. Goss is a skillful and talented writer. I recommend The Tempting Offer by Inge-Lise Goss to readers who enjoy suspenseful and adventurous stories.

In Inge-Lise Goss’s The Tempting Offer, Jessica is engaged to Drew, who is paying little attention to her by breaking dates due to his heavy work schedule. She is on the point of calling it all off when she is attracted to a new surgeon at the hospital where she works as a nurse. If she is honest, she is still deeply in love with Titus, the boy next door when she was growing up, but one night, the whole family disappeared, and she never heard from him again. Twelve years on, she doubts she will ever find love like that again. However, she does enjoy Bradford's company and is astounded when he surprises her, not only with his character and personality but also because he is on a secret mission for people that he cannot tell her about. As she helps him in his quest, she may be walking into danger, but the attraction is so strong that she can’t ignore it. To her dismay, he hints that he will be leaving soon and will not return.

Jessica is a character you can relate to and care for, and her new love interest, Bradford, is captivating enough that the reader is hoping they find life-long love. There are many hints as to what Bradford Adams' real job is and that his work as a surgeon is a cover for something much more sinister. This is a happy book, easily read in a day, something to curl up with by the fire. This is not the first story I have read by the author, and it won’t be the last. A cozy mystery with a few surprises.
