Only Afraid of Nothing is a sci-fi/fantasy adventure novel by Willem Indigo. Tired of spending time in the psych ward, Dave Von Wolfgang somehow befriends a humanoid alien named Zenu held in the same institution, and the duo sets off toward the stars. After arriving in front of Commander Jatax -- Zenu's boss -- Wolfgang and Zenu find themselves fighting for their lives as they flee imprisonment and killer monsters. Equipped with Zenu's mysterious space-time warping bracelet, the duo decides to rescue Commander Jatax, who had been kidnapped, and restore their rightful status. Along the way, they form a crew of misfits, each more insane than the rest. Wolfgang makes a name for himself as a lunatic as he and his uncontrollable merry band of aliens fight demons, bond with fire-breathing creatures, and unwittingly cause chaos everywhere they land.
If the Hollywood hit Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy was X-rated, you would probably end up with something like Only Afraid of Nothing. Author Willem Indigo's wild rollercoaster of a novel leaves little room to breathe as the narrative takes you on an odyssey across the cosmos, unlike anything you've ever read before. The plot is completely unpredictable, and you will constantly find yourself wondering what will happen next. The characters are colorful, with vibrant traits and idiosyncrasies that make them thoroughly entertaining to read. The constant back-and-forth between Wolfgang and the rest of his crew is filled with humor and makes for plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. I recommend this book to fans of Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy.
