P.S. You Are Amazing: Inspiring Stories for Teen Girls about Self-Esteem, Friendship, and Mindset by Emma Meyer is a coming-of-age story about ten girls at Kent Bridge High who each face different insecurities and challenges that mirror real teen struggles. They learn about finding themselves when life feels messy and navigating friendship, identity, and the quiet pressures of growing up. Nora wants to fit in, Rochelle hides her grief, Florence is scared of being different, and Leah measures her worth through filtered photos. Each chapter tells the story of a different girl, showing the moments when she feels lost, learns something new, and starts to change. Through honesty and courage, they each begin to see that being amazing has nothing to do with being perfect.
Each story in this book felt like I was having a quiet conversation with the author, the kind that made me stop and reflect on my life. Reading it reminded me that being human, even when confusing, can still be something beautiful. I loved how every chapter ends with heartfelt letters and also focuses on a different girl, who also remains connected to the others in subtle ways. Nora, Leah, Zara, Rochelle, Amara, Vera, Florence, Scarlett, Reina, and Emilia are written with purpose and depth. Their actions, choices, and growth show honesty and strength. Each chapter moves at just the right pace, flowing with ease and always engaging. The writing is full of emotion and has humor, heart, and rhythm, while the themes of friendship, courage, and identity stay strong throughout. P.S. You Are Amazing by Emma Meyer is a warm, inspiring, and beautifully written book that captures growing up with such tenderness.
