Paper Doll (Jana Lane Mystery Book 1) by Joe Cosentino is a murder mystery. Jana Lane used to be a child star until, at the age of eighteen, she was attacked at the studio. Twenty years later, her name has changed to Jana Otley and she lives in a huge mansion with her two children. However, she keeps on having flashbacks and these materialize from the past to attempts at murder in the present. In a bid to face up to her past, she visits the studio and some of the people that used to work there. She meets Rocco Cavoto, a handsome filmmaker who also happens to be her old producer’s son. With his help, can Jana uncover what really happened back then? And can she stop the person who is intent on destroying her?
Paper Doll (Jana Lane Mystery Book 1) by Joe Cosentino is a neat murder mystery story that was thrilling to read. Mr. Cosentino has produced a masterpiece of mystery and, for some, a trip down Memory Lane. The plot was very well thought out and the characters developed naturally, fitting the story line perfectly. The story gripped me from the start and there were enough twists and turns, with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure, to keep hold of me until the end of the book. There is an atmosphere of glitter and glamour, of old Hollywood and new, and it all comes together neatly in one well-written package. Great book, can’t wait for book 2.
