Parental Alienation by Dr. Marni Hill Foderaro talks about how some children turn against one of the parents without any proper justification as a result of psychological abuse and manipulation of the other parent. Some of the tactics used include telling half-truths and outright lies by the alienating parent, who mostly seeks external validation and is overly concerned about their public image without considering how their actions impact their kids. Contrary to what many people believe, parental alienation can also occur with adult children. Some of the red flags that could alert us that something is not right include when one parent goes to great lengths in trying to alienate the other parent and sometimes even other siblings. They will try to destroy the credibility and reputation of the parent they want to alienate.
Parental Alienation by Dr. Marni Hill Foderaro is wonderfully written and covers one of the most important topics that affect families and societies in general, yet it is rarely talked about. This thought-provoking work gets one thinking about the impact of parental alienation on children and also on all the other parties involved. The author is very articulate, and the systematic flow of thoughts ensures no room for confusion for the reader. The easy-to-understand language used also ensures the work is accessible to all kinds of readers and effective in passing on the intended message. The reader will also appreciate the excellent narration, which adds to the overall beauty of the book. This was a good read, and I look forward to reading something else by Dr. Marni Hill Foderaro.
