Pet Store Santa is a children’s picture book written and illustrated by Jo Hudson. A pet store invites all the animals to pose for a picture with Santa just before Christmas. The event attracts all kinds of animals that do not want to miss the chance to have a holiday photo with Santa. Santa flies in on his sleigh, thinking the task will be simple and fun, but the animals prove to be a handful. A fish splashes water on Santa, a bunny wiggles its whiskers in his face and causes his nose to itch, and a pig comes in straight from the pigsty. Get a copy of this book and join Santa as he takes pictures with the local pets.
Pet Store Santa is a funny and unique story that will put a smile on your face. It is inspired by a real pet store Santa and highlights the struggles he goes through while taking pictures with the pets. Jo Hudson uses rhyming words to tell the story and captures the young reader's attention with the never-ending hilarious incidents. Whether it was a monkey, a dog, or a bird, each pet had a unique personality and came with its own drama. Children will not only have fun reading this story, but they will also learn about pets and their traits. The book has beautiful illustrations that perfectly correspond with the story and show Santa’s ever-changing emotions. I loved the red and green Christmas color theme, the starry night sky, and the snow because they all give the book a festive feel. I highly recommend parents and caregivers share this book with their children and have fun.
