Residing in The Quartz Crystal Palace, a young fairy named Serafina awaits her coming of age ceremony, where she will be handed her wand and crown. Serafina, who is also a princess, feels nervous about the ceremony as she knows her wings will change and determine which path she must take. But with the support of her mother and father, along with her royal grandparents, and friend Mirabella, Serafina steps into the Jeweled Circle with confidence and beauty. With magic all around her, Serafina begins to change. What path will Serafina be given? And what will it mean for her in the near future? Find out in this magical children's book, Princess Serafina and the Jewelled Circle, written by Kristi Shimada.
Princess Serafina and the Jeweled Circle was a pleasure to read. It is full of magical fairies that demonstrate self-acceptance and how to be a good person. Kristi Shimada has included this important life lesson perfectly within her storyline, and with the help of the beautiful and magical illustrations by Eko Setiawan, it brings the story and characters alive. It also shows why you shouldn't listen to people who try to bring others down, as it creates miscommunication and can damage friendships. I enjoyed reading every page of this wonderful book and I know children will too. I hope to see a second book in the near future so that I can continue with Serafina's journey. Keep up the good work, Kristi. I am excited to see what you create next!
