Al Qaeda terrorists targeted Universal Airlines Flight 617, flying from Chicago to Hawaii. The weapon, Ebola Marburg virus, purchased from a deniable research lab in Russia. The Central Intelligence Agency picked up information concerning the sell from an undercover operative at the lab. As other bits of information comes in one brave woman risks her career by using every means possible to get the information to the President.

Mariah and Zack are young and in love, they are flying to Hawaii for a ten-day vacation on Universal Airlines Flight 617. Zack’s father is the commanding officer at Edwards Air Force Base. Mariah is the daughter of test pilot Major Wilson Sheppard.

The flight is over the Pacific when the Islamic terrorist spread a fine white powder in the bathrooms and throughout the cabin areas.

The President must evaluate the information he is given and make one of the toughest decisions of his life. Flight 617 cannot land without risking the lives of millions of innocent people. The executive order has been given. Bring down Universal Airlines Flight 617.
If your daughter was on that plane, could you follow orders?

Occasionally a book comes along that has that special WOW! factor. Rebel’s Gambit by Richard Carter is one of those books. The plot is an edge of the seat attention grabber. I read this one while on vacation and I could not put it down. I was wiping tears before I finished the book. This is a story that will stir the emotions. The cover of this book does not do it justice. As a retired flight instructor, Richard Carter brings his expertise to this subject. I believe this is Mr. Carter’s first book; I will be eagerly awaiting his next one. Well done Mr. Carter! I highly recommend Rebel’s Gambit, reader’s will not want to miss this one.
