In Retrouver: The Rotters Book Two, Jordan Elizabeth returns to the captivating world established in the first book of the series, delivering a narrative that immediately drew me into the chaos and intense world that Felicity and Jack must learn to navigate. I found the premise of this installment to be intriguing and felt as though the character’s journey slowly became my own. Jordan Elizabeth masterfully guides the reader through everything Felicity must overcome. As the second book in the series, it ties in with the first one effortlessly, presenting the characters with new challenges that had me constantly turning the pages to see what would happen next.
While I was reading Retrouver, I was impressed by how Jordan Elizabeth maintains a consistent voice throughout. There is so much that happens in the story, and I found that the consistency in the writing helped to create a complete image of the plot and characters. In regard to Felicity, she is written in a way that shows her unique perspective throughout all the craziness of the story. The pace is steady, which made me feel like I’d found stability amongst the chaos. I really enjoyed reading about Felicity and Jack, as their journey felt incredibly authentic. There was just enough action in the story to keep me engaged, and as a lover of the sci/fi genre, I think that the mysterious aspect was perfectly created to fit in with the story that had been set out in the first book. Reading Retrouver, I loved and laughed on every page!
