Josephine Jordan brings us more spicy romantic suspense in the second book of the Storm Series, Riding the Storm. Ava Ellis is on location in the Canadian mountains, shooting a movie with her co-star. She is exhausted. It’s been film after film this year, and she needs a break. Mason Storm, retired commando and the love of Ava’s life, can’t be there with her due to his own responsibilities. When Ava’s room is turned upside down with a note on the mirror to go back to California, it doesn’t bother her too much. But Scotch and Redge, two of her trio of titans, think otherwise. What follows is a series of close calls that drives home the fact that someone wants Ava out of the picture.
Author Josephine Jordan knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats, turning page after page, unable to stop reading. The characters are once again likable and relatable, while the dialogue builds the tension and advances the plot. The chapter length is perfect, driving the pace throughout the story. The descriptive scenes are written in a way that stimulates the senses. If you like action and adventure, this book is perfect for you. If you enjoy spicy, steamy love scenes and are a mature reader, this book is perfect. If you like suspense with multiple twists and turns, Riding the Storm is definitely the book for you. This author knows how to add depth to the characters and keep the spice respectful. I eagerly anticipate the next book in the series.
