Rosa and her friends built a new home in an acacia tree, and Rosa declared that such a tragedy would never happen to them again. Every day, she would exercise in preparation for any attack in the future. One day, the giant elephant came to eat from the acacia tree where Rosa's new home was situated. She was ready. She had a plan and put it into action. Read this exciting story to learn how Rosa overcame the odds and won the day.
Most children have never seen the word "onomatopoeia," and even fewer know what it means. However, Dainty Nix uses onomatopoeia to great advantage in her children's picture book Rosa the Little Ant and the Great Big Elephant.
