Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! by Dave Bruno is a masterful blend of horror, drama, and comedy. When a bunch of college graduates head into the northern Californian mountains, they stumble across something terrifying: a dilapidated house that hides a terrible secret. The inhabitants are old, 66 million years old, to be precise, and they’re hungry. The students are there for a fun weekend, but the Cretaceous Creeps have other plans, and things are about to turn bloody. Can the students overcome their personal problems and work together against the threat? And will all of them make it out alive?

Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! by Dave Bruno is worthy of being added to all those cheesy horror B-movies that used to grace our TV screens, and I mean that in the best of ways. This is one of the most terrifying yet humorous dinosaur stories I’ve ever read, packed with a diverse range of characters. Each has a unique personality, and the dramas they get involved in have to be read to be believed, yet somehow, they all seem to be able to pull together when needed. It isn’t a book for the faint-hearted, as it’s quite bloodthirsty, and as the title indicates, there is bad language. As a debut novel, this is a solid offering, a classic story that will hook you from start to finish. It really is fun to read and switches between each character’s POV as well, so you get lots of different perspectives on the same story. If you want something totally different, I recommend this book.

Azi is a spoiled rich kid used to getting his own way. On this particular occasion, he realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew when he decides to mess with his best friend Stella's boyfriend, Camron. Azi has exhausted all ideas on how to stop Camron from spilling the beans to Stella until he hears about his friend Scotty's planned hiking trip up Donkey Ridge. Believing this could be the perfect distraction, Azi convinces Stella and Camron to join Ellis, Bernard, Chad, Brett, Frankie, Felix, and Scotty on the hike. With Memorial Day approaching, this group of friends expects a trip that will create unforgettable memories. They have no idea how true those words will turn out to be in Dave Bruno's Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs!

In Dave Bruno's Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! each character's backstory is extensive, revealing how they connect to the rest of the camping crew and their motivation for joining the expedition. This creates interesting subgroups, each developing their own entertaining yet subtly interconnected subplots. The dialogue oscillates between carefree and serious as the narrative focus shifts between characters, making it easy for readers to align with characters who appeal to them. Short scientific explanations are given for the prehistoric creatures, highlighting their natural traits and the effects of their augmentation through flashbacks, immersing readers in the action. The narrative style focuses on a combination of dark humor and obscure elements, such as the broken table and the damaged elevator's audio narrator, to heighten the suspense. The plot takes on a chaotic tone near the end. The pacing starts sedately but gradually transitions to breakneck, creating an exciting adventure filled with suspense, blood, and gore that horror fans will enjoy. A remarkable debut novel that raises the standard in horror fiction.

Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! by Dave Bruno follows a group of college students who go camping in the Northern California mountains. The intertwined relationships, broken friendships, and complicated dynamics create tension among the campers. They all hope to have a fun weekend, but upon arrival, they discover an abandoned house that looks frozen in time, exuding an eerie atmosphere. Despite its dilapidated state, the campers decide to make it their camping ground. However, their stay quickly turns into a nightmare when dinosaurs with incredible mimicking abilities begin attacking and killing group members. Will they survive to share their tale of the dinosaurs' return, or will they become victims of the creatures' wrath?

Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! offers a chaotic blend of horror, comedy, and adventure, reminiscent of a tabletop role-playing game scenario. The intriguing cast of characters, with relationship dynamics ranging from romantic triangles to regretted betrayals, includes narcissistic individuals willing to do anything to save themselves. Important issues like bullying, cheating, and peer pressure highlight the various challenges that young adults face within their peer groups. Dave Bruno brings the characters and their environment to life with descriptive writing. Despite the number of characters, I could easily distinguish between them based on their unique personalities. The book conveys messages about redemption and the risks and consequences of reckless experimentation. This layered story is a surreal, adrenaline-pumping read, emphasizing themes of chaos, the unknown, and human vulnerability in the face of ancient, monstrous forces. This story blurs the line between reality and the supernatural, making it an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys survival stories with a compelling narrative and well-developed characters.

Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! by Dave Bruno is about a group of college students who decide to go on a camping trip before they graduate. They arrive at Donkey Ridge, where they find an old building where research was done. The students, Azi, Ellis, Chad, Stella, Cameron, Bernard, and others, went into the building to explore but stumbled onto something they never expected. The house seems to have been housing genetically modified dinosaurs who escaped after an accident and a failed security system some years ago. Their trip immediately changes from an exciting outdoor adventure into a scary and haunting event. Everyone is fighting to survive while looking for a way out. They also face different challenges among themselves, like awkward moments, emotional struggles, betrayal, arguments, and fights.

What caught my attention at first glance was the eye-catching title, which gives Jurassic Park vibes. I loved how Dave Bruno made the characters feel so real. He was able to bring out the different personalities common in college students, like the mistakes they make, arguments, and complicated relationships. The writing style is top-notch. The characters are well developed, the scenes are described in detail, and the plot is fast-paced and flows seamlessly, leaving no room for confusion. I love how Bruno was able to combine horror and humor. The way the characters joked around despite the tensions and dangers the dinosaurs posed was engaging. The dynamics between Azi, Stella, and Cameron were a highlight. I enjoyed seeing how the characters have their different personalities and drama. For example, Ellis was dealing with heartbreak, yet she remained strong; Bernard is seen trying to fix his old relationship with Chad; and Azi, who is full of himself, starts to break down with time. Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! also talks about love, friendship, guilt, and forgiveness from a deeper perspective. I recommend it to readers who love high-tension, scary novels with a strong dramatic plot.

A group of college graduates has experienced their share of drama, from dysfunctional friendships to broken relationships and betrayals. However, they must confront their greatest fears when they embark on a weekend camping trip into the woods. In Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! by Dave Bruno, they must work together to survive being hunted by dinosaurs in the dilapidated house they have chosen as their campsite. The dinosaurs hunting them are no ordinary prehistoric creatures. They can imitate voices and are determined to eat anyone in their path. Something happened in the house to unleash these monsters. Amidst the chaos, the groups' fractured relationships and past betrayals complicate their struggle, forcing them to confront not only the dinosaurs but also their own personal demons.

Oh F*ck! Dinosaurs! is an exciting read for anyone who enjoys monster-versus-human survival stories. The thrilling drama, intense moments, and suspense of not knowing who will die next make this book entertaining. In addition to the group's fight for survival, the story explores the mystery behind the dinosaurs' presence in the house, revealing how these creatures have found themselves in modern times and how they are evolving into dangerous predators. One of the most compelling aspects is the drama among the campers. From the evolution of Bernard and Chad’s friendship to Frankie’s lies and Azi’s betrayal, their interpersonal conflicts provide valuable moral lessons about friendship, loyalty, and bravery. Dave Bruno's narrative features detailed world-building and dynamic character interactions, creating an engaging journey where the prehistoric collides with the modern, and humor intertwines seamlessly with horror. The vivid descriptions, fast-paced plot, and colorful personalities create a captivating read that will appeal to anyone who loves horror stories featuring prehistoric creatures.
