Round by Round: In Search of Wisdom by Florine Dotson Evans is an insightful book with inspiring quotes from the author that reiterate the strength and presence of a higher power and will help readers look at life with a new perspective. The sayings are simple truths conveyed to readers to constantly remind them about staying positive and looking at life in a manner where there are always solutions to problems. Every saying in the book is profound and thought-provoking and will help readers look into their lives and see where change needs to be implemented to improve their lives.

The author's thoughts on the subject are simple and straightforward and can be easily understood by readers. The way the author has expressed her thoughts is crisp and helps readers connect well with what she is trying to convey. It is a quick read but it must have taken the author much life experience to come up with such encouraging and motivating thoughts that can be incorporated into the thinking process of readers, thereby proving to be beneficial towards leading a peaceful and empowered life. Every quote is impactful and it is a much-needed book for the spirit, body, and mind to get motivated and stay positive on a daily basis. The book is a handy guide and I will recommend it for anyone's personal collection because it is one of those go-to-books during the low phases of life and will enable readers to see the light.

Round by Round: In Search of Wisdom by Florine Dotson Evans is a unique collection of messages that makes the perfect gift for loved ones and is the perfect book to have on a coffee table. Evans incorporates various messages she has been given throughout the last several years that focus on the promises of God. All these promises have been placed together in a collection that will encourage and inspire you to open your heart to love, faith, and kindness.

Round by Round is a quick and easy read with each page featuring a quote with meaningful messages with an inspirational and a feel-good tone that will add a little brightness to your day. The messages are one sentence with profound meanings. Some of the messages give inspiration about facing tougher times and how to look at the loss of something in your life that you thought you wanted; instead remembering that it may lead to something better or guide you down a new path. The messages are spiritual and faith-driven with words of wisdom to remind you how God can do wondrous things in your life. Other messages focus on being kind to yourself and encourage you to keep moving forward even if you don’t succeed the first time.

Evans’ words are positive and uplifting, acting as reminders to be kind to others and that a smile can do wonders for those around you but also remind you that it’s important to love yourself. Evans’ messages are inspirational, encouraging, heartfelt, and are words that are perfect for a pick me up when you’re having a down day. Round by Round: In Search of Wisdom is an uplifting collection of positive messages that will brighten your day, encourage you not to give up, inspire you to move forward, think about your faith, encourage a positive self-image, and remember that you’ll always prevail even during a great struggle.

“All you will ever need is within you.” Round by Round: In Search of Wisdom by Florine Dotson Evans is a collection of proverb-like wisdom that is nothing short of inspiring. Thought-inspiring sayings, such as “Your personal power cannot be taken; you must agree to surrender it” and “A great loss can be the breeding ground for a great victory” had me instantly captivated by Evans’ literary work. Round by Round is written in a manner that makes the wisdom Evans shares accessible in a daily devotional style, or can be read quickly and many times over. Evans’ faith in God is clear, and a strong foundation has given her the tools needed to share her thoughts with the world.

Even though Round by Round can be read quickly, it also can be read slowly--one page a day, so that proper reflection and meditation can be given to the thoughts being shared. I have never encountered a book quite like Round by Round. Most pieces of literature that are designed to be inspiring and motivating are also filled with pages of personal thoughts and opinions by the author. Round by Round: In search of Wisdom is different; it is kept simple and peaceful, though a bit of explanation or an accompanying verse would have furthered the reflection. Anyone can read the work of Florine Dotson Evans, and anyone can be inspired by it. Round by Round is easy to read, easy to learn from, unique, peaceful, and the perfect addition to your nightstand or coffee table. Well done.

Round By Round: In Search of Wisdom is a very small volume of religious writings, beliefs, and affirmations penned by author Florine Dotson Evans. In just eighty pages, the author has encapsulated many of the key messages related to the Christian faith and the worship and promises of God, so as to create a well-worded book of reminders for those who may find themselves in need. Designed as a bedside or coffee table book that readers can pick up, re-read and engage with just when the moment calls for it, the atmosphere is one of true devotion, hope, and wisdom.

Author Florine Dotson Evans has a narrative style that sounds like a friend writing to you, which is of great comfort in a work of non-fiction such as this. Despite its concise nature, the book is an invaluable source of consolation and wisdom, encouraging its readers to look to the kingdom of God with kind and non-judgemental words. It is clear in every word that Florine Dotson Evans makes a daily commitment to God, and the book is designed with those kinds of reminders so that her readers may do the same. The formatting and physical appearance are also crisp, clean and uniform to encourage clarity when reading and separate different ideas effectively. Overall, Round By Round: In Search of Wisdom is a high-quality work which readers who seek small, heartfelt reminders of their faith in God are sure to appreciate, and it will become a treasure to them more and more as time goes on.

Short messages and thoughts are an engaging kind of writing. If an author writes them effectively, they will teach readers something they need to know without bothering them with long and inconclusive digressions. Messages are also excellent exercises for the mind because they require active participation to bear fruit. Round by Round is one of these short but inspiring reads. In this book, Florine Dotson Evans brings together seventy-one thoughts centered on a Christian message that will help the reader reflect on his or her life. There is a variety of topics, but they suggest positive considerations to improve your life, like the importance of faith, self-respect, and motivation.

Round by Round is a book that will stay with you for a long time after you finish reading it. Even though Dotson Evans’ style is concise, her thoughts tell more than what appears on the page. You have to meditate to understand all their implications. I like that some of the thoughts are quite provocative like the one stating that a woman limits her potential if she wants to be equal to a man. However, my favorite aspect of Round by Round is that it invites you to have respect for yourself. Several thoughts advise you to be your own best friend and to be kind to yourself. As the aim of Round by Round is to encourage the reader to live a better life, this is the most important step to make it happen. Therefore, I consider this book as one of the most intelligent and motivating I have ever read.
