Sam's Soldiers: Boys of Brighton Book 2 is a gay romance novella written by M. Tasia. It was hard for Sam to believe that it had already been four weeks since Dante and Spider had come into his life. They had been sent to protect Sam’s cousin, Gabe, and his boyfriend, Johnny, from Gabe’s meth-addicted ex-boyfriend, but the two ex-military men were instantly attracted to the small, red-headed ER nurse. He had been floored when they approached him with the idea of a threesome while they were staying in his hometown of Brighton, Texas. He had agreed and found himself almost regretting the decision as the time for their departure loomed ever closer. Sam had allowed himself to fall in love with the two of them and didn’t really know how he was going to cope with them leaving. But, for now, he had four days off after a grueling day at the hospital, and he was looking forward to spending that time with his soldiers. When he arrived home, his house was redolent with the tantalizing odors of chicken parmigiana, Caesar salad and garlic bread, and he had two hot men waiting for him. Then they gave him the news. They’d be leaving in the morning for a new assignment. Sam tried to act nonchalantly; after all, this was the deal he had agreed to. Later on, while they were making love, he realized that he had to put his cards on the table and tell them how he felt -- he’d do that in the morning. When he awoke, however, they were gone.

M. Tasia’s gay romance novella, Sam's Soldiers: Boys of Brighton Book 2, is a steamy and sweet romance about two ex-military men and the nurse they both fell in love with. I loved this book. While one usually wonders about threesomes and the unlikely logistics of a jealousy-free triad relationship, Sam and his soldiers seem to have it all worked out just fine. While this is a sweet and unforgettable romance, there are passages describing sexually explicit love-making, albeit beautifully and respectfully written and working perfectly within the context of the story. While this is the second in Tasia’s Boys of Brighton Series, I found it worked quite well as a stand-alone novel. That said, I’m planning on going back and reading Gabe, the first book in the series. Sam’s Soldiers is a marvelous read. There’s suspense, action, and a love story that’s hard to beat. Sam's Soldiers: Boys of Brighton Book 2 is most highly recommended.
