Sara's Rising by Coffey Agnello is a heart-wrenching yet ultimately triumphant story of abuse. Sara was born to an emotionally unstable, party-addict mother and a jealous father. She was the "save the marriage" baby, but her parents divorced when she was three. Sara loved reading as books were her escape from the reality around her. As a child, Sara witnessed many horrifying things and horrendous deeds were done to her—all because of her mother and upbringing. She witnessed physical and sexual abuse and was the victim of incest at a very young age. As her mother changed men like socks and manipulated them, they moved a lot and never found peace. But after many years of abuse, Sara finally got the chance to break the cycle of abuse.
