Secret of Black Rock Mountain is a paranormal sleuth mystery with a healthy dose of thrills and supernatural lore that is bound to entertain fans of the genre. Murphy moves the plot at a blistering pace, and it's filled to the brim with shocking reveals and twists and turns that keep your eyes glued to the pages. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the members of the SIPS team and how they came to work together for Katie and the kidnapped children. Despite being part of a series, the book reads perfectly well as a standalone. Recommended to paranormal mystery readers.
