Two best friends are the target of an obsessive admirer in the spine-chilling thriller, Sharing a Stalker by Amy Raines. Claire and Samantha have been very close since they lived next door to each other as children. Not only do they have strong bonds, but Samantha and Claire also look enough alike to be twins. Always sharing everything, they are now sharing an apartment near the college they are attending. Out of the blue, an anonymous person leaves them gifts. A little later, a strange male calls, asking how they liked their presents. At first, they are unnerved until Samantha and Claire decide their friends are playing a practical joke on them. However, when they return from a party, their house has been broken into, and the phone is dead. The police are not taking them seriously, and instead, arrest one of their friends for reconnecting the telephone line. The alarming incidents continue to escalate, and the police are of no help. What is the stalker's end game? Will Samantha and Claire escape the madman's clutches?
Sharing a Stalker by Amy Raines is a suspenseful novel that left me with the cold chills. Smoothly transitioning between each situation, the bloodcurdling storyline contains several unforeseen events. All of the characters' reactions to the threatening circumstances are typical. Rather than being proactive, they choose to ignore the potential crisis and continue as if nothing has happened. This inaction leads to lethal consequences. I feel there is a moral to the story; if in doubt, do something! If psychopaths, murder, blood, and violence seasoned with romance intrigue you, then you won't want to miss this book. Sharing a Stalker by Amy Raines has it all!
