Silkie Stalkings is the fourth book in the Claw & Warder series by Erik Henry Vick. The adventures of Dru and Leery continue and this time, they are facing the Big Boss. Three men are dead. Their bodies were discovered in the Hudson River one after the other and nothing can be found that connects the three men. However, that changes when the detectives find out that all three of these men used Sinder. With this breakthrough, Leery thought they could crack the case and end it. But that all changes when they find out who really owns the dating application. What will Leery, Dru, and their team do now?

I am a huge fan of The Bloodletter Saga, so when I came across this series, I jumped at the opportunity to read it. To be honest, this is exactly what I expect from Erik Henry Vick. He is a master storyteller; he has an excellent command of mystery and character development, both of which you can see in this story. I haven’t read the previous novels in the series, yet I found no issues with getting invested in Dru and Leery’s story. They work really well as a team and their own abilities are perfectly highlighted to draw readers in. I really enjoyed the humor (especially Leery’s personality). The mystery behind Sinder and its owner was surprisingly good. The author allowed the reader to get lost in the story and experience it. The details are vivid and the descriptions are amazing, which is what I expect from Mr. Vick anyway.

Bodies of suicide victims are turning up in the Hudson without their souls, in the striking urban fantasy, Silkie Stalkings (Claw and Warder Book 4) by Erik Henry Vick. Members of the Supernatural Inquisitors Squad, Leery and Dru are supernatural detectives who investigate murders and violations of the Canon or Covenants in the Locus of New York. When the third drowning victim turns up in the Hudson River, and he is missing his soul, it indicates there is a serial supernatural perpetrator luring mundanes in for their dinner. Leery and Dru must find out who is eating them without a permit. When the investigation points to the killer enticing his victims using a dating app run by Dru's Uncle Luci, things get a little sticky. Getting a warrant to look his records is the easy part; convincing Lucifer to go along with it is another. Can Dru persuade the King of Hell to cooperate? Or will the killer continue to induce souls to commit their own deaths?

Silkie Stalkings (Claw and Warder Book 4) by Erik Henry Vick is an exciting and magick-filled urban fantasy. The conflicts in the plot and winning characters are dramatic and entertaining. The King and Queen of Hell are among some of the remarkable and notable magickal characters portrayed, as well as Van Helsing's granddaughter's ghost. Lieutenant Van Helsing's temporary setback had me chuckling throughout the book. This is the fourth book in a brilliant series, and although it is sensational, the storyline doesn't do very well as a standalone. The brilliantly created story world with its unique concepts, intriguing characters, and their remarkable histories could be fully appreciated if one is acquainted with it at the beginning of the series. It is an exceptional novel that will enchant and enthrall everyone who has a soft spot for supernatural sleuth mysteries.

Silkie Stalkings by Erik Henry Vick is the fourth episode in the Claw and Warder series. Oriscoe Leery and his partner Dru Nogan are back with another case. After three bodies are discovered, the duo is put on the case to find what links the three victims and what could have led to their deaths. The investigation takes Leery and Dru into the world of online dating as they check out the dating app Sinder and are brought face to face with Lucifer himself. Interrogating the devil is easier said than done as the two are led in circles when Lucifer doesn’t wish to divulge too much information. Someone is sending dates into the river and the duo are determined to find out who. This introduces them to an interesting assortment of online daters.

The supernatural Law & Order setting continues to shine in the installment which takes you into the world of online dating and comes with unfit matches, murder, and the devil himself. Erik Henry Vick takes you into the world of silkies with a fun twist on the mythology, a modern update incorporated directly into the case. The cause of death is their first step as the victims were drowned in the Hudson River. Vick weaves throughout humorous nods at the mythology of Silkies and the world of online dating.

The case also provides an opportunity to delve further into the growing connection between Dru and Leery which has grown since their first case together into a respectful partnership and friendship. Silkie Stalkings slowly paves the way toward a growing spark between them that stems from their banter and chemistry. The mystery dives further into the life of Dru which shows her dual sides of being a succubus and a vampire while showing more of her familial connections and how this connects her to the Silkies and to Lucifer. Silkie Stalkings is another exciting episode in the Claw & Warder series. Your favorite crime-fighting duo is back with a new case in the crazy world of online dating.
