Chrystal Eve Jackson has an otherworldly friend named Solis. Solis is always there when she needs her and teaches her very important lessons along the way. Grabbing her trusty camera, Chrystal heads off with Solis as she learns important things to remember such as don’t be afraid to fall because someone will always be there to pick you back up, even if that someone is you. True friendship is accepting others as they are, among other lessons you will discover on this journey with the author and Solis. Jackson has created a self-help book that is relevant to both children and adults looking for the right answers to some pretty hard questions. While using mythology, gods, and a good helping of fantasy, it brings across a realistic message that provides answers we all have sought at one time or another.

I thought Solis by Chrystal Eve Jackson was a really creative and unique read. I like how Jackson portrays Solis as a best friend guiding her through the ups and downs of life. She seems almost angelic to me; like a guardian of sorts. The lessons she teaches the author are relevant to readers of young and old and it forces us to look closer at some of our own shortcomings and how to fix them. There so many lessons in this book that I’ll only say my favorite is Never Stop Learning. I love learning and expanding my mind. I feel learning new things keeps you young and it’s a shame when some people close their minds off to new possibilities. Overall, Solis is a very enlightening book that I will definitely recommend to friends.
