Human Glenda Melner is desperate for a job and the powerful, handsome vampire attorney, Rupert Meier, is just as desperate for a new assistant – and perhaps something even more. Some Assistance Required by C.L. Ogilvie follows Glenda as she talks her way into working for this high-profile firm and discovers just how different life with supernaturals and magicks really can be. Eager to maintain her freedom from her less than maternal mother and make positive strides forward in her life, Glenda proves her worth and does a superb job, earning more than a paycheck from Rupert.
No longer alone after making friends with some unlikely co-workers, Glenda embraces her new life. This positive attitude misleads Rupert into thinking that he could make a relationship with Glenda work, but she is definitely not interested in being turned. Seeking assistance from an anti-vampire group, Glenda and her friends discover that they are just as vulnerable with humans as vampires, and a mad dash for safety leads to everyone searching for the strength they have within. Will they find their own power in time to prevent a disaster?
C.L. Ogilvie brings a unique and lively world to life in Some Assistance Required. Full of humor as well as intrigue, Some Assistance Required keeps you reading with a smile on your face as you follow Glenda’s approach to life with a down-to-earth attitude. The characters are delightfully diverse, each full of their own particular hang-ups and issues, but the cohesiveness of the group proves that it is possible to overcome any kind of personal stumbling block. This is a must-read for everyone who wants to enjoy a lighthearted romantic comedy that is well written and full of fun. Well done and quite enjoyable!
