I remember well those days when I felt irritable, bloated, headachy, and out of sorts. I did not know why I felt that way until I started a journal. That was when I saw the monthly cycle.

Author Mary Byers brings knowledge and wisdom to this topic. She has thoroughly researched PMS. InThe S.O.S. for PMS, the topic is discussed from the perspective of motherhood. It is difficult to deal with the stress of a spouse, children, and PMS, all at once.

Byers includes a list of both physical and behavioral symptoms. I was particularly impressed with the suggestions for coping or lessening PMS. Byers includes making good choices such as nutrition, avoiding caffeine, and exercise. She always discusses medication and faith. The S.O.S. for PMS is easy to read and understand. Where was this book 30 years ago when I needed it!? I recommend this book for all women. It will bless them and their families.
