Spike and Spud the Space Boys is an educational picture book for young children by K.A Mulenga that teaches them about the planets. Spike and Spud are ready to jet off high up into the sky, in their rocket ship. They are excited to see everything space has to offer and are supported by friends and family who also share in the intrigue of space. First, they zoom past Mars, fly past Jupiter, then Saturn, and all of the other cool planets that are part of our solar system. It is one big adventure for the boys, so the question is, will you join them?

Spike and Spud the Space Boys was fun to read. It is an informative book that will teach children to remember the planets more easily. The thing I liked the most about Spike and Spud the Space Boys was how concise it was. I was impressed with how it teaches readers about the planets in basic terms, the rhyming also adding to the simplicity. Even as an adult, reading K.A Mulenga's book helped me to remember the planets, which I feel is a sure sign that children will enjoy it too. The illustrations are fun-filled and creative, which will be a huge hit among children. I loved every page of this thrilling book and urge anyone with a child who has a passion for space to grab a copy and let the adventures begin!
