Spireseeker by E.D.E Bell is a fantasy novel based on a unicorn elf named Beryl Spireseeker. She is a protector of the creatures of Fayen and has been sent to stop the evil elf Aegra. She finds a human named Kick and together they endeavor to overturn Aegra. Even the discovery that Jura and Tann were, in fact, not her real grandparents did not alter their relationship. The bonds of friendship and loyalty are a strong factor when faced with the ugly perils of evil. As Beryl begins her own self-discovery, she meets with the unicorns to whom she is forever bonded and she finally feels her destiny. Each elf is blessed with a power and Beryl has the power to heal, which is ironic as she grew up with a physical disability for many years. Will good triumph against evil here?

I thought that E.D.E Bell delivered a wonderful fantasy adventure that was both creative and original. Spireseeker is fresh and exciting and the story flowed consistently. Each character became well developed as the story went on and the bond between Beryl and her grandparents was touching. I especially liked the fact that the story was not rushed and ran fluidly. The plot was very clever with twists throughout. I found that the author kept up the interest of the reader with a creative flair that was delightful. Each character and animal had their own interesting story, which I also found endearing. The overall appearance and style of the book are of a high standard as well as the theme and subject matter. My only criticism is that the ending could have been a little longer to flow as consistently as the rest of the novel, but this is of little significance to the deliverance of a wonderful story. In conclusion, Spireseeker by E.D.E. Bell is a truly refreshing and captivating story. It has earned a place within the great realms of the world of fantasy fiction.
