Spiritual Reflections of a Poetic Mind by Edward L. Wright, Ed.D. is an insightful and uplifting collection of poems that will inspire readers to be thankful and to be grateful to God for everything. The poems reiterate the power of God and His presence in our lives, irrespective of the journey we all go through. The author’s words give strength to readers and give them hope and courage to face life in spite of all the adversities and difficult times we endure. The poems will make readers think, reflect, and look into their inner selves and see where changes can be made to have an enriching and fulfilling future.
It is difficult to say which poem is better. I liked all of them as each one deals with a different topic, which helps readers to look at life and their surrounding with a positive perspective. Every poem stresses the role of God in our lives, directly or indirectly, and they also help readers to have trust and faith in what God gives them. The last two lines in the poem ‘Trust and Obey’ convey these thoughts perfectly:
‘Despite the trials that come my way,
I’ll trust, obey, and follow Him every day.'
The poems will have a strong spiritual impact on readers and give them the confidence to trust, love, forgive, and become spiritually mature. It is a good book to read during difficult times and low phases in life. Hence, I would recommend having a copy of it in one’s personal collection so that it can be read whenever required.
