Steer Your Course!: Exploring the Relationship between Personality and Professional Outlook by Nandita Keshavan bridges the gap between personality and professional outlook. University is usually seen as a platform to one's career and the time to hone one's skills and talents so that people know what might interest them in a career. The sudden change from high school to university might be overwhelming for many and the author helps make that transition easy and university an enjoyable experience. The author explains different models of personality and how they affect professional outlook through this book.
The book is helpful, especially for those at university as it will help them to understand the type of personality they have and how to go about approaching their professional outlook. The book discusses each personality's outlook, goals and recommendations, and helps readers identify the opportunities which will bring them success. The book is also an opportunity for self discovery and readers will be able to identify with some of the personalities.
The author's writing is simple, elegant and easy to understand. The book has a good flow and pace and holds reader attention to the very end. The author's observations on the different types of personalities are interesting and it will help each individual chalk out what is good for them, based on the outlook the author has shared. I found the book thought-provoking and useful, and a good opportunity to understand one's personality.
