Super Doople is a children's picture book inspired by the famous Humpty Dumpty. The book is written and illustrated by K.A. Cummins. Little Doople is fragile and can easily break his shell like Humpty Dumpty, but he insists on trying to fly. He envisions himself high up in the clouds, soaring with birds and seeing the world from above. The other Dooples in town see him climbing tall trees and posts. They continuously warn Little Doople about the dangers of his desires and attempts. Unfortunately, Little Doople does not heed their warnings. Eventually, the inevitable happens. He falls and cracks his shell, but Little Doople is offered assistance from an unlikely source willing to mend him. Find out what happens to Little Doople. Will he ever fix his shell? Can he ever fulfill his dream of flying?
Super Doople is an inspiring story with a beautiful message for children. To never give up when you fall and always rise stronger. The author also added questions at the end of the book that center on the moral lessons of the story. Children love stories about superheroes, and this book will introduce your little ones to a new super friend. K.A. Cummins creatively uses words and illustrations to bring the story of Little Doople to life. I loved the illustrations because they were colorful and told the story perfectly, which is ideal for toddlers who learn best through visuals. I liked the cameo of Humpty's cakes that was strategically placed in the book. Amazing story.
