Ten Lanterns: Light Your Way—Lighten Your Pain by Evagoras Evagorou is a motivational memoir and self-help book that traces the author's journey to his personal transformation through decades of experiential learning. Evagorou uses a train journey as a metaphor, recounting his encounters with illuminating individuals who guided him during his darkest moments. In a heartfelt narrative and with impactful messages, the book explores themes of loss, healing, and redemption, climaxing with the author's discovery of the "most precious thing" in the world. Beyond being a personal narrative, the book serves as a spiritual map with hundreds of pages of valuable insight and practices for readers seeking personal fulfillment and happiness. With its blend of autobiography and wisdom, the book is a testament to the power of resilience and self-discovery.

Perhaps because once I was lost in a huge city at night, in a country whose language I did not speak, an elderly man closed his newsstand to walk me to the train station, and that is why I was most moved by a part where Evagoras Evagorou portrays a humble and wise individual who selflessly shares their philosophy, shutting down their cookhouse to help those suffering on the streets, demonstrating their kindness and desire to alleviate others' hardships. Ten Lanterns: Light Your Way—Lighten Your Pain is a well-written and engrossing book in which Evagorou reaches out with a heartfelt desire to share his spiritual wealth and offer guidance to the reader, and encourage them to embrace kindness, love, and self-reflection to lead a fulfilling life. His words are clear, moving, and universal in their goal of creating a connection and inspiring action for positive change. Very highly recommended.

By what criteria do you measure your happiness? Are they fixed in stone or are they flexible? These and other questions have dominated the inner workings of the minds of millions of people on the planet for so long. Not just these issues but an unending debate as to which can be prioritized for the positive development of the well-being of an individual. What many people do not realize is that there are simple ways to effectively discover these answers. Evagoras Evagorou has spent years speaking on these very matters at many events. He uses a series of interesting stories revolving around himself and his family to enlighten us on these concepts in his motivational memoir Ten Lanterns: Light Your Way - Lighten Your Pain.

Evagoras Evagorou's' guide to enlightenment is quite the read. The concepts he discusses such as the management of pain using the options he lists in his book may sound unusually simplistic but, as you dig deeper, you will find the basis behind his reasoning is quite solid. The use of personal experiences to reinforce his point adds something of a personal touch to the book which makes it feel less like a manual and more like reading a memoir. I am impressed with the unusual methods he uses to convey his points effectively, chief among them the idea of each aspect of this journey being compared to a stop at a train station. It proves incredibly effective when it comes to visualizing the message. Ten Lanterns may feel a bit like a chronology of Evagorou's achievements but do not be fooled; between those interesting stories are nuggets of wisdom that should not be taken for granted.
