The 110lb Hulk by Benjamin Pierce is a distilled, concise yet comprehensive book on how regular Joes can traverse the road to fitness. With a detailed look at nutrition, programs and individual exercises, this small book packs quite a punch. Perfect for beginners looking for a clear roadmap on how to obtain a healthier body as well as for advanced fitness enthusiasts looking for a book that covers almost all aspects of fitness, the 110lb Hulk is a life changer.

Clarity is one under appreciated aspect of most resource books. People want to obtain knowledge, but they want to do so without the need to unduly tax their comprehension with scientific terms and technical jargon as well as without sorting through overly detailed graphs and charts. The 110lb Hulk distills all the available information found on fitness and health and packs it solidly into a book that can actually speak to readers. His easy, conversational style made me feel that he was right there with me, egging me on and motivating me. Benjamin Pierce's experiences with the rigors of fitness, his numerous anecdotes and his detailed rationalization of methods that work drew me in. Beginners will love the easy flow and the no nonsense approach to fitness. Fitness enthusiasts will find that, although Pierce doesn't mince words, the book is a wealth of reliable fitness means and methods that they can add to their own knowledge.

This book can serve as both as a guide and as a reference book. Charts, diagrams, pictures and illustrations are all placed at the right places and provide the all the right information, creating a seamless flow between the text and these visual aids. Benjamin Pierce has crafted an invaluable fitness book. If I had to suggest one book to a colleague, a friend or a family member who wants to live a healthier life, 110lb Hulk would be it.

I'll be honest here. I love fiction and rarely review non-fiction books. I only decided to review The 110 lb Hulk by Benjamin Pierce because I wanted to start a workout routine and I was hopeful there might be something in The 110 lb Hulk that I could use. I hoped to get inspiration if nothing else, but I didn't think I would find everything I needed in one book. My luck just isn't usually that good. I am so happy that I picked this book to review. It is everything I need in one well written, well organized, reader-friendly format. I took a Master Fitness course while serving as a soldier in the U.S. Army, but that was a very long time ago. That experience, however, gave me the basic knowledge to be able to at least recognize sound science and good advice when it comes starting a fitness routine.

The science in The 110 lb Hulk is all sound. There are no unrealistic fantastic claims, just good advice obviously given by someone who worked it all out by applying it to his own life. Benjamin Pierce emphasizes little victories every day rather than trying to change yourself dramatically in a hurry. An important part of the book is the information on a healthy diet. There is a lot of sound nutritional advice in The 110 lb Hulk and Benjamin Pierce takes the novice through the entire process in this well written, easy to understand book.

The 110lb Hulk: A No-Nonsense Guide to Gaining Muscle, Losing Fat and Bursting Through Plateaus is a non-fiction fitness book written by Benjamin Pierce. In this book, the author shares his story on how he went from being an underweight hard-gainer to becoming a competitive bodybuilder. Pierce's guide is geared toward beginning weight trainers; however, those of us who've not been in the gym for a few years will also find the book instructive and inspiring. Pierce takes a holistic approach to bodybuilding, and he shows how nutrition, aerobics and weight training are all vital parts of a bodybuilder's training regime. He presents most of the major movements and exercises along with pictures of the muscle groups affected by each movement.

It's been a few years since I did any weight training, and I was intrigued by the author's introduction to this book. His before and after pictures make it plain that he's developed a system that works for him. It's not an easy system, especially the dietary parts, but it's not going to take up hours of your day and, as those pictures prove, it can be done -- without steroids, supplements or 5-hour sessions at the gym. While I was already familiar with the movements he presented in The 110lb Hulk, I was impressed by his routines and his nutritional information. Pierce's section on how to prepare and freeze healthy meals for the week is inspired. Best of all, The 110lb Hulk had me researching and selecting a weight bench and planning a home gym in my spare room before I was even half-way through the book -- and what better recommendation could there be for a bodybuilding book?

The 110lb Hulk by Benjamin Pierce is an informative health guide to help readers achieve optimum exercise results efficiently. Forget about quick weight loss schemes, dietary supplement hype and floundering through a routine that is boring and ineffective. Pierce lays out a systematic plan to bulk up with lean muscle gain or to cut fat. He explains the different body types and dispels the myths about body transformation, drawing on his own trial and error experiences. This detailed book is perfect for all levels of fitness, from beginners to advanced as the comprehensive roadmap is about lifestyle change, attaining balanced health, increasing energy levels, slowing aging, preventing physical injury, and feeling more confident and happy.

Each chapter focuses on the knowledge needed to be successful and bust weight-loss plateaus. The inspirational manual even has great-tasting recipes to achieve the proper nutritional science. There are illustrated exercises based on careful research for the main areas of legs, arms, back and abdomen, designed to encourage calorie after-burn. The sample program routines can be customized to suit any schedule and results will be apparent with a slow but consistent effort.

This motivational book really is so much more than a how-to-guide by a fitness industry expert. It really is a personal journey of one man who was born with a scrawny frame and, through hard work and dedication, has achieved a gorgeous ripped physique. Setting realistic goals and expectations, anyone can master similar results without spending a lifetime in the gym. If you want to get healthy now without making wasteful mistakes in time and money, then The 110lb Hulk by Benjamin Pierce is the perfect addition to any fitness bookshelf.

The 110lb Hulk is a fitness and health self-help book by Benjamin Pierce, written from the author's personal experiences and aimed at guiding people on the journey to building muscle, losing fat and becoming fit. The book breaks down the steps that one will need to take on this journey in great detail, explaining the different stages involved and what each stage really entails. It explains the A-Z of gaining muscle, gives great details on the exercises needed for each specific part of the body - with clear illustrations - and explains how to effectively lose fat. The book also gives detailed advice on nutrition, including recipes and sample programmes.

The 110lb Hulk, by Benjamin Pierce, is a very realistic bodybuilding and fitness book. From the start, Benjamin tells the reader what to expect from the process and does not promise unrealistic results. I especially liked the fact that Benjamin Pierce did not downplay the amount of work, dedication and discipline that one requires to reach their fitness goals. His book shows that it is not an easy task, but it is one that is definitely achievable once one is determined to reach their set targets.

The book gives you all you need to know about gaining muscle, fitness, and everything in between, and it is written in a way that makes it very easy to relate to. The detailed sample programmes and recipes are a valuable bonus and can easily be customised to fit one's schedule and lifestyle. The 110lb Hulk by Benjamin Pierce is a very informative and realistic book on fitness and body building techniques and would be a worthy read for anyone looking for a good way to gain muscle, lose fat and live a healthy lifestyle.
