Author Biography

Al E. Boy has had a number of professions over the years.
He's been an English and drama teacher for over 18 years now, and enjoys teaching very much. Currently, he and his wife operate an English academy in a satellite suburb of Seoul, South Korea. Over the years he has written many plays and short stories for his students. None of these have been 'officially' published though. They have been printed for exclusive use in his English academy.
A department store/mall Santa Claus for 40 years, Al E. Boy has had the distinct honor and privilege of helping young children keep the magic of Christmas alive. In that capacity, he has developed quite a repertoire of what he refers to as "North Pole Stories". It was these stories which lead him to write ‘The Adventures of Fawn’.

The Adventures of Fawn ('Til the Last Snowflake Falls) by Al E. Boy is a children’s coming of age novel that would appeal most to a young audience that enjoys reindeer stories. Fawn is the daughter of Comet and Vixen, who all live in the stable at Santa’s Village, but Fawn is the only young reindeer in the village and longs for freedom, friends, and fun. When her parents refuse to allow Fawn to leave the village, she decides to sneak out to escape her boring life. Fawn might have just been looking for some entertainment, but her adventure leads to her growing up and learning more than she ever could have imagined. Will Fawn ever return to Santa’s Village or will she be captured and sold to the New York City Zoo?

The Adventures of Fawn ('Til the Last Snowflake Falls) by Al E. Boy is an absolutely adorable book that is filled with a cute cast of characters ranging from Fawn and Bunny all the way to Snowboy. I personally found Fawn’s first adventure to be my favorite because she learns to work together with other creatures her age in order to get Bunny out of a hole. It might not have been much of an adventure, but with all the complaining Fawn did at the beginning of the book, it proved that she was not a brat and instead just a young reindeer who was acting out due to boredom and a wish for friends. Overall, I found the story to be very heartwarming and I believe it would be the perfect book for any child because it is not only entertaining, but it also teaches the young reader valuable life lessons!
