An absolutely delightful and fun read by author Angelina Goode, The Average Girl was truly one of the best books I've read this summer. Follow the story of protagonist Olivia Fowler as she builds up her unique business. She orchestrates meetings with her clients, average people, with the stars they love without the star ever knowing that the meeting was set up. Olivia's studied everything there is to know about the stars her clients want to meet, and her plans go off without a hitch. But when Olivia actually does meet a star in an unexpected and unplanned way at a grocery store, and that star happens to be the handsome and charming Alexander Young, things start to change. As her relationship with Alexander progresses, she learns that there's more to a star and their life than just what the public sees. And when Olivia's best client makes a request to meet Alexander, she realizes that if she sets up the meeting, she might lose Alexander forever. Will it be her business or her heart?
I loved this book. Loved. It. The perfect book for the chick lit genre, The Average Girl was fun, funny, sweet, romantic and witty all at once. Author Angelina Goode has done an amazing job at developing characters that a reader will truly enjoy getting to know. Her ability to write a book that will keep you turning the pages, laughing and tearing up is second to none. I cannot recommend The Average Girl any more highly. I sincerely hope that Angelina Goode is hard at work on her next novel. I, for one, will be lined up to get it when it is released.
