Author Daniel Dulik has created a totally original and very funny, if off-the-wall, book that contains information on how to play Berm Bingo, which is the game of counting the dead animals and discarded soda cans, clothing pieces and car parts that often litter the sides of our roads. "The Big Book of Dan" also contains Dulik's own original poetry and quotes from poets such as T.S. Eliot. He tells of attending Catholic school back in the 1950's and gives his thoughts on people consuming much too much in 'More, More, More: People Need Less More and More Less'. In his story called 'Bubba and Me', Dulik tells of being discharged from the Army and going off on a lark with his friend Bubba.

"The Big Book of Dan: Road Alligators and Other Incongruous Possibilities" is filled with essays and poems that are Dan Dulik's comments on life. His poems are delightful, as on page 143 in his poem 'Is Reason Gone Forever', he comments on tattooing and on page 237 he queries "What are Words Worth, Longfellow?" which ends with two books of poetry selling for $1.94 whereas mayhem, mystery, gore and sex sells for $17.91. Not every reader will be drawn to pick up "The Big Book of Dan" as Dulik's writing is often raunchy, but those souls who read it will laugh and quote from it for years to come. "The Big Book of Dan' will not be for everyone, but it will gain a following of readers who will be waiting for more from Dan Dulik.
