The Blind Trust by Colin Conway is the third book in The 509 Crime Stories series. Sheriff Tom Jessup is working hard in his county, trying to keep things safe, but things never work out as they should. When a suspicious death takes him to Spokane, he uncovers more than he bargained for, as a double murder and tainted family blood come to light. But other cases might be connected, and as the body count rises, the investigators are in a race against time to bring a killer down. But with different departments going in different directions, can they stop the bloodshed?
The Blind Trust by Colin Conway is a police procedural and murder mystery that could be read as a standalone in the series, but it does bring back characters from the second book. It’s a complex story, with several storylines that may or may not be connected – you won’t find out until the end – and a lot of twists and turns. You will need your wits about you to keep up with this one. The characters are real, each with a personality that shines in different ways – you’ll either love or hate them, there’s no in-between – and the plot will keep you on your toes all the way through. You’ll be very lucky if you can guess the ending; this is one of those stories that just keeps throwing up more and more; plenty of clues but plenty that muddy the waters, too. This is perfect for murder mystery fans, especially if you like books that keep you guessing.
