There was once a brave little panther named Rose who lived in the Rain Drop jungle. She was known for her courage and kindness toward other animals, and everyone loved her. Unfortunately, on a particular day, a dark storm caused havoc in the forest; many animals went missing, trees fell, their homes were destroyed, and the animals in the jungle were scared. Rose was courageous and mobilized rescue efforts, creating search parties to find the lost, providing shelter for the homeless, and comforting the terrified. Rose's bravery saved them from despair. There are other events in which Rose was helpful, and we learn this by reading The Brave Little Panther by D.P. Johnson.
The Brave Little Panther is a unique book, and its style of writing is clear and concise. The plot flows well, and its simple pace and word choice make it easy for young readers to follow along and understand. The book also features only a few characters and thus would be easy for children to keep up with and relate to the action. Rose is the main character, and her selflessness shown in the story should be emulated by young readers. I like the lovely pictures of animals included in this book, which will be an enlightening experience for children. The book also explores themes such as selflessness, leadership, courage, love, and others that can instill many positive values in a young child. I commend D.P. Johnson on a job well done and recommend it to young children from the age of 5 to 10.
