"The Cinderella Blues" by Obren Bokich is a sweet, funny and truthful tale that warms the heart with a young girl's struggle to come to terms with her job, her relationships and family life. With two best friends that stick by her, a knack for picking the worst guys, a penchant for baking and a mother with ghosts from the past, the story brings to life the struggle we all have with reality while indulging in sweet dreams. Very interesting characters that come alive with a special role and purpose in the protagonist's life make for a fun and interesting read. As it is full of a strange mosaic of fantasies and reality, I can see how the title "The Cinderella Blues" is a perfect fit. Highly recommended for laughs, romance and a gentle reminder of our own lives and dreams. Go Cinderella!
