The crayons were excited to spend a special day in a place called Rainbow Land. Ruby Red was racing down the hill on her bike and Dr. Brown asked her to be careful. She bumped into a tree. Dr. Brown bandaged her knee and Ruby Red promised the doctor she would not race. Dazzling Yellow and Celinda Blue decided to go to the Crayon Zoo. Vernie Green was playing basketball in the park and because he was lean and tall, making shots was easy for him. Tangie Orange scored high and Vernie Green thought he should join the famous All-Star Team of the USA. Benji Black was practicing his spin on rollerblades and he won first prize in the challenge game. Coach Violet knew it would happen as Benji had done a difficult flying spin. Wendy White wanted to celebrate in a special way by giving each branch of a special tree a different color. The crayons left wonderful messages of their memories of togetherness, respect, and harmony. They also spent a good day with care, fun, and joy which they wished to send to every boy and girl.

The Crayons in Rainbow Land by Susan V. Cappelli is an adorable story that conveys good messages to readers in a fun and entertaining way that will capture their attention and teach them togetherness, harmony, and respect. The bright and colorful illustrations by Robert Nehrebecki, Jr. make the story appealing and give the crayons each a personality and identity of their own. The songs at the end of the story are wonderful and can be sung using the melody of nursery rhymes, making the book interactive and interesting to youngsters. It is a perfect book for parents and tutors to use for storytelling sessions in classrooms and homes, not only to introduce children to colors but also to some positive messages in a good way without sounding preachy.

I Loved this book. My friends daughter adores the story. It is a book about brotherly love and acceptance of others.
