In The Defender: Champion of Mankind, Willow's boss has just invited her to undertake a major project to promote a highly top secret device known as "The Defender." She has to sign a contract to declare her code of silence and suddenly she finds herself very wealthy, with a beach side mansion and a dream job that takes her all over the world where she meets with prime ministers and presidents.

The Defender is a special device that can literally make wishes come true, but only for the good of mankind. If an evil leader like Osama Bin Laden were to get hold of The Defender, there would be nothing left of mankind to defend. And that is where the conflict arises. Because Osama bin Laden is still alive and he wants The Defender for himself. But Willow and her bosses are committed to keeping The Defender out of the hands of evil and equally committed to seeing Osama Bin Laden dead - for real this time.

Author Jessamine Rose has a vivid imagination and an idea about a Pandora's box that really has readers sitting on the edge of their seats. There is a good plot here. The story is told mostly through dialogue; even the descriptive passages are portrayed through the conversations between characters. While sometimes the characters appear too good to be true, they manage a compelling, action-packed drama as the plot unfolds. There's a good plot to The Defender: Champion of Mankind, a plot revolving around the ongoing battle of good over evil.
