The Enthrallment: The Chronicles of Lethia Book 3 by Krysten Harlow is the latest in this series. We continue the journey with Nate, Bea, and Sab as they have to hunt down the Exiled before the ritual. Sab has gone, transported to the past to find answers to questions she didn’t know she had. Zero has Bea hidden away, whether to protect her or to manipulate her is anyone’s guess. Nate is alone in the mission to find the Exiled with a few companions he can’t trust. Brendan is a null and can’t do much to help. As more information comes to light, the trio isn’t entirely sure whom they can trust. With the anti-magic cult as an additional threat, truths that have been hidden for decades are revealed. Truths or illusions, and what about the ley lines?
According to a quick Google search, the definition of enthrallment is the feeling of great liking for something wonderful and unusual, enchantment and even enslavement. I felt myself on a constant roller-coaster of emotions with the information the characters were receiving. I wanted to choose the right side, knowing I didn’t have enough detail. This book is beautifully frustrating and that was the force driving me through the pages. This influence was pulling me back to a leisurely pace when all I wanted was to fly faster. First impressions are turned around as new information is brought to the surface. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series. The Enthrallment by Krysten Harlow is recommended for young adults or avid readers of epic fantasy novels.
