It had only been six months since Margo, an accountant in Chicago, met Sam Wailing, yet she had agreed to marry him and follow him back to Iowa to meet his parents. All Margo hopes for is that Sam’s family will accept her. But she is about to learn that this may be the least of her worries. Something about Sam’s family seems off. Not only are they obsessed with a dead televangelist, but they also have strange family traditions. But that’s not all. Margo has begun seeing something she thought was buried, along with her recently deceased mother. And voices are speaking to Margo, relaying a message that is recurrently chanted in the family’s mealtime prayers. The more Margo stays with Sam’s family, the deeper she sinks into their dark web of secrets and rituals, and the more dangerous it becomes for her. Will Margo survive the evil coming her way? Find out in Audrey J Wilson’s The Ever End.

Treading a thin line between reality and imagination, Wilson brings the scenes to life on the pages with evocative cinematic depictions. It felt like I was next to the cast in every scene, closely following as the action unfolded. The macabre tone of the storyline kept me on the edge of my seat as I turned page after page. Wilson has a knack for whipping up scenes that send chills running down your spine as you anticipate dread. I was swept up in a whirlwind of family drama, a cult, deceit, dark secrets, betrayal, manipulation, rituals, and more. The depth of the narration allowed me to experience the characters’ emotions. Juxtaposing their complex traits made it easy to connect with them. Audrey J Wilson’s The Ever End is the right pick for fans of horror and psychological thrillers blended with drama and a splash of romance.
