Growing up in Poughkeepsie, New York, Clarice Martin, better known as Reece, has a vision of a large hand on her bedroom window when she is only seven years old. A few years later in 1991, she finds herself passed out on a sidewalk outside a building where she was supposed to be watching a ball game. Years pass and Clarice is now married to a good man, John Miller, a building contractor. Their nanny, Mrs. Nicestrum, watches over and protects Clarice's five year old son Jackson, who has catatonic spells. Bad guys are after Jackson for what he will be in the future. They are the Ordinatio Triune Orbis, the Order of the Three Circles, living in an old farmhouse in Cobleskill. The head, a man who refuses to be named and known only as the master, is Satanic and is doing everything he can with the help of his minions to stop Jackson. Meanwhile, miles away in Boston, Massachusetts, Gabriel Katz finds he has an ancient power called Tzaddik to defeat enemies. He earns his Ph.D in Anthropology and Archeology and is an ordained Rabbi. Will he be Jackson's next protector? And where does the mysterious Glen on Clarice and John's property fit into this story?

"THE GLEN" is a highly well-written story of good triumphing over evil as Clarice, John and Clarice's gifted genius of a son, Jackson, their nanny Nicey, local Catholic priests Simeon and Tom, and Rabbi Katz battle the forces of evil. Their characters and those of the bad guys, the "master", and his body guards Sergio and Mark, are totally believable and help carry the storyline to its conclusion. Not without blood and gore, "The Glen" is a story of faith in God, as Clarice comes to have faith, John brings Jackson into religion, and Rabbi Katz saves the day! A highly recommended read for believers and non-believers alike! Hopefully, Carla Coon will write more novels just like "THE GLEN."
