The Guarantee by Murray Peters is a short suspense story. Eric is lonely; his wife is always working late and they haven’t been intimate in over a year. No matter how much he tries, she’s just too tired. So, he turns to the internet, watches porn videos, and then the adverts appear – the ones that offer anonymous sex. One catches his eye, an ad that gives a guarantee his wife won't discover what he’s doing. So, he clicks on it and hooks up with a woman not too far away from his house. At first, everything is fine, but then things go wrong and Eric is not prepared for the consequences. How far will the men behind the ad go to keep the guarantee?
The Guarantee by Murray Peters was a thrilling read, short enough to read in one sitting, which is ideal for this story. It was action from the word go and, although the story is about anonymous sex, there was very little that would cause offense to anyone. The story has been developed very well as have the characters. Mr. Peters has created a real air of mystery around the people behind the ad and you are forever left wondering how much further they would have gone to keep the guarantee, although the consequences were severe enough. Great story, I'm looking forward to reading more from Mr. Peters in the future.
