Aaron "Ace" Jamieson rarely goes out with a woman beyond three months but when he met beautiful Talise Reed, Ace keeps on going out with her long after the three month mark is up. Then, Talise tells Ace that she is pregnant with their baby, and Ace leaves their town of Boston in a flash. He heads to St. Louis where his older, more settled brother Kidd lives with his wife Eva, and bunks in with them for a while. In the meantime, Talise decides to keep their baby, even when working two jobs, as an airlines ticketing agent and a hair stylist, becomes difficult. Talise's doctor wants her to bring Ace's medical history, but Talise wants no part of the man who loved her and then dumped her. However, Ace's family, the Jamiesons, have a different opinion and want Ace and Talise together, if at all possible. So, Eva and Ace's own mother, Sandra, and other Jamiesons pursue Talise with love and concern and some good times together.
